What to See & Do in Littlehampton

An addition to Littlehampton is Bauldy's Road Side Cafe/Diner, complete with a very modern ($1.2 Million) Ampol Service Station. You will also find the local Australian Post Office here as well.

One of the main town features is the very busy Littlehampton Brick Works, which is renowned for producing some of the highest quality bricks and pavers in Australia. They not only deliver throughout the state of SA, but throughout the whole of Australia and to Japan as well.

Another feature is the famous Great Eastern Hotel, nestled on the side of the Main Road, it is a very popular place with not only the local community but also travellers afar. Here you can sit back and relax with a beer while you watch the Races & Keno or try your luck at the game of eight ball while you wait for your delicious fresh hot food to be prepared.

Kids (and Adults) will love the unique miniature train rides at the Platform 1 Heritage Farm Railway (Junction Road, Littlehampton). A train ride, with a difference, will take you through a delightfully historic farm, past farm animals, through old historic buildings and back to a hands on rail museum!

Those up for a bit of exercise can take a relaxing nature walk through Coppins Bush, the last reserve of actual native flora and fauna left in Littlehampton. It is open to the public and can make a beautiful spot for a picnic getaway in the hills.

There is also the Littlehampton market, held in the Littlehampton War Memorial hall on the 2nd Saturday of each month (8am to 1pm), with over 25 Stalls, Jams, Pickles, cakes, crafts, bric-a-brac, plants,  fruit & veg. Devonshire teas, drinks, BBQ, children's playground, community tennis courts, public toilets and shaded lawned area. For further details phone 0435 017 991.
