Traminer

Produces wines with a distinctive varietal character, however there is a marked variation of that intensity depending on the particular clone. The clones with the pink to red berries are more aromatic. Often in the past, wines made from these clones were called Gewuerztraminer; from German 'gewuerz', meaning spice. Gewuerztraminer is used more commonly as a synonym for traminer.
