Pinot Noir

Has over 1,000 different clones around the world with about 20 in existence in Australia. There are noticeable differences between clones and some appear to perform better in certain areas than others. Generally, wines made from Pinot Noir grown in hot climate regions are uninteresting, lacking in both colour and flavour. However, wine made from grapes sourced from cool regions can be of high quality with a distinctive varietal character.
